Joshua Brown

A native Arkansan, Joshua Brown teaches Humanities and Creative Writing at Culver Academies and advises The Review Line. His writing has appeared in journals The New England Review, Shenandoah, The Southern Humanities Review, and elsewhere. He’s a bluegrass mandolinist.

Joylynn Chung

Joylynn Chung is a four-year senior in Benson from Seoul, South Korea. Her passion for writing stems from her early childhood library and her discovery of AAPI authors and South Korean experiences in mainstream literature and translation. Her heart lies with fiction writing, but she always wanders back to non-fiction and historical fiction. Fun fact: she bulk-buys kombucha. 

Brynne O’Hare

Brynne O’Hare is a four-year senior in Tower Dorm from the suburbs of Chicago. She has been writing for over a decade in spaces of advocacy and creativity, and she particularly enjoys crafting short stories. Her literary inspirations include Jhumpa Lahiri, Curtis Sittenfeld, and John Green. She was born with a third set of bottom teeth! 

Sicily Comerate

Sicily Comerate is three-year senior in Ithaka dorm. She is from McLoud, Oklahoma, and she has enjoyed daydreaming and writing stories since her single-digit years. She also enjoys diving into other creative arts like sculpture, painting, and music.


Nwanma Udokwu

Nwanma Udokwu, a four-year senior in Linden, was born and raised in Broomfield, CO. She often had her nose in a book. After coming to Culver, Nwanma began sharing her poetry through performances and publishing. She enjoys working on short stories and screenplays and expressing the human spirit through various mediums.

Lordina Boateng

Lordina Boateng is a senior in Court Dorm from Cincinnati, Ohio. Her passion for writing stems from her time writing novels on Ao3 and Wattpad during her childhood. Out of all her pursuits, she finds her zone when writing non-fiction stories, mainly focusing on the perspective of those 5 years older than her. Fun Fact: She used to write rap and lyrics for Nicki Minaj when she was 6!

Jackson Ridgeway

Jack Ridgeway is a five-year senior in Battery C from Fishers, Indiana. He is primarily focused on fictional writing, preferring dystopian, fantasy, and sci-fi genres. His enthusiasm for writing stems from reading the Percy Jackson series at a young age, and has continued on to this day. 

Melany Guadalupe Zurita

Melany Guadalupe Zurita is a four-year senior in Atrium from Los Angeles, California. Her love for writing blossomed from the fictional tales she immersed herself in growing up. She enjoys exploring all styles of writing and has a sweet spot for historical fiction. Fun fact: she’s slowly starting to enjoy poetry as well.
